This is the most typical sort of accommodation in Barcelona and in most destinations worldwide. There are different types of hotels in Barcelona, from the most luxurious and expensive to the cheapest and simple. The main advantage of any hotel is the comfort. You don’t have to cook or sweep the floor. You don’t have even to make your bed! Besides, in the hotel there are lots of facilities, such as a swimming pool, a restaurant, a sauna…which you can enjoy. However, you don’t have much privacy and can have problems at night to sleep, because you might hear the people next door. Also, a hotel is quite expensive and you sometimes have to spend more money eating out. Another disadvantage of the hotels is the fact that they don’t usually have room for over 4 people. So, if you travel with a big family or a big group of friends, you will have to sleep separately.
- Apartments in Barcelona
Renting an apartment in Barcelona is becoming more and more popular. Staying at an apartment can be even more comfortable than the hotel. You have the chance to decide whether you want to eat out or cook your meals in the apartment. Also, you don’t have to plan your day according to fixed meal times. An apartment is much cheaper than a hotel and you would feel at home in a foreign country. If you have a big family or travel with a big group of friends, there are apartments which have room for all of you. Furthermore, there are nice apartments in great locations all about Barcelona very close to the best sights of the city.
So, even though Barcelona has some of the best hotels in the world and the nicest staff ever, if you can’t stay over at a friend’s house, I advise you rent an apartment as it has more advantages than staying at a hotel.
