The “Mercado de San Miguel” is considered as one of the oldest markets in Madrid. It was totally reconstructed to provide a new concept of food market. Today the market bustles with hundreds of varieties of cheese, fruits also as delicious Spanish tapas.

This hundred years old market offers 33 shops with a large scale of the delicatessen products in a great location in the very centre of Madrid just at few steps from Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol.

If you’re a fan of oysters the market also offers a great choice, in addition to several vendors that sell Spanish seafood specialties like grilled shrimps, garlic shrimps and boiled and spiced octopus (pulpo a la Gallega).
